The very first official BaconCamp hit San Francisco on Saturday and was quite a success. An offshoot of the bacon Internet meme, BaconCamp aims to be in the same vein as BarCamp (or any of the other *Camp events) and showcases all things bacon.
There were bacon-based foods of every variety, including chocolate covered bacon, bacon toffee, bacon cookies, bacon brownies, and deep fried bacon with gravy. My personal favorite was the maple-bacon lollipop, which was a whole new level of bacony goodness.
The event didn’t stop at food. There were numerous ad-hoc presentations, including a proposed “Bacon Locator” app for the iPhone, bacon-themed art displays, and a setup to silkscreen the BaconCamp San Francisco logo onto shirts.
Appropriately, all proceeds benefited the American Heart Association.

ahh! how fun! :) sad i missed it, but i had some other things to worry about, like STUDYING.
Hallelujah Chad, Bacon Bless you and Amen, thanks for the mention and we are happy that you glorified our glorious pops!
Please contact the chapel thru:

and we’ll send some over so if you ever get tempted by the evil anti-Bacon (Tofurkey), you’ll have a little bit of heavenly Bacon on a stick to put that devil back in his place, Amen!
